Deliverance (Psalms 22:8)

It seems recently, I have been studying words. Words that I hear often and are of formal "Christian lingo." God is teaching me to grow with the simplicity and power of a single word. The word of the hour is deliverance.

The best verse that I found that re-empowered this word for me is Psalms 22:8. "He trusts in the LORD--because of my faith and trust in the Lord God; let the LORD rescue him--Let him rescue me whenever, wherever and for what ever. Let him deliver him, since he delights in him--Jesus is the deliverer and he wants to take care of me."

Jesus has delivered me from death but he has also delivers me everyday. From my sin, from Satan's temptations, from my enemies, and from my struggles.  Struggles always come, and this is the time I seem like I need deliverance the most. I need him to rescue me from my pain. But I asked God, How do I know I am being rescued? Is there anything that I do Lord to have deliverance?

He lead me to these verse, John 16:16-24. This whole section is wonderful but the last part answered my prayer. "22So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. 23In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 24Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete." And the Lord of all will rescue you!

AMEN!
