Talk an't cheap (Proverbs18:20-21)

In a marriage book that I have been slowly reading for a year now has been constantly encouraging. The chapter on communication was especially convincing. I feel like it is an area that convicted me on communication in ALL of my relationships. Here is what Proverbs 18:20-21:

 20 From the fruit of his mouth a man's stomach is filled;
       with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied.
 21 The tongue has the power of life and death,
       and those who love it will eat its fruit.

In the book it said, "words possess incredible power- power to wound or heal, to destroy or to build up." Than not to mention that they are permanent, irreversible.  The book also continued in the chapter that verbal abuses is worse/more painful then physical abuse! OH my! Verbal abuse to me isn't just calling or writing someone off as the B word, it is any form of words that doesn't build-up, strengthen, encourage and heal.

Lord,
Forgive me of my words that were unjust, said and unsaid. Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips. (Psalms 141:3)
Amen
