"Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful." (Luke 6:36)
"Be merciful,...Mercy is a feeling that motivates, forgiveness, compassion, and kindness. Mercy is one of the greatest ways I as a human can love.
When someone in my life is hurting, I am called to have mercy for them. When someone has hurt me, I am called to have mercy on them.Something new I learned from a friend to help me have mercy is knowing that all the good in people come from God/true self and all the bad/hurt in other people is Satan. When I look at conflict or tragedy this way, the feeling of Mercy will triumph. Satan will be defeated in the battle through Mercy.
...just as your Father is merciful."
But I still need remember the comfort of the Fathers mercy over me through His compassion, forgiveness and kindness.4But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. (Titus 3: 4-5) If mercy is one of the greatest ways I as a human can love, then the greatest way I must feel loved by God is then through His Mercy:)
