For the past year during my senior year of collage I have been working on my own research about the home in an independent study. I really wanted to combine my passion for God and the home. The experience has been really excited but un-directional. Yesterday, I think I finally know what I am supposed to do with it all. God has been showing me what fullness means. This is what Ephesians says, "... and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." (Ephesians 3:1) or Pleroma, which means completion, plentiful and fullness.
In other verse I have seen this word "full." "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10) In other translations instead of "full" the verse states "physical and emotional abundance." But in Ephesians I think It means have the "fullness" of the Holy Spirit and God's presences with you all ways. My Bible say, "it's like having your spiritual gas tank full." But in relation to my research I want to give people an opportunity to experience God's "fullness" inside of their homes in a 40 day disciple. The more I learned about the home, the more I realize how we take care of our home is a" pray in progress" and a direct interaction with God. There is a time when tragedy hits, clutter moves in, unexpected change occurs or you just find yourself uncontent inside your home. This is when "fullness" is in needed the most. Change needs to happen, but discipline takes time and so does healing. My purpose is to help everyone experience God's fullness in their homes. Our homes need constant renewal just like our souls.We experience renewal through experiencing his fullness.
