Peace be with you and you and you and you (Philippians 4:6-7)

I struggle with anxiety a lot.

"Do not be anxious about anything but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God."
(Philippians 4:6) I saw this verse in a book I am reading last week. When I get anxious, I should pray and pray with a heart of thanksgiving. When I am angry, mad, doubting, sad, fearful or worrying, I should pray with a heart of thanksgiving. But the best part comes in verse 7, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Then, God's peace will be over me and the negative thoughts will disappear.

It is so hard when I am in an anxiety attack to be thankful. It is like I rather just sit there and wait for something to change or distract me. If I want a peace of mind, I need to have a heart of thankfulness!

Dear God,
You do not want me to be anxious. I can't control everything. Lord, you are the master controller. Thank you Lord for you love for me. Thank you for your glory and all that you have given me. I have no reason to worry because you will take care of me.

Amen
